From the Texas Home School Coalition:
In order to be a legitimate home school, you must have a curriculum which teaches reading, spelling, grammar, mathematics and a study of good citizenship, and you must pursue that curriculum in a bona fide (not a sham) manner. This curriculum may be obtained from any source and can consist of books, workbooks, other written materials, or materials on an electronic monitor including computer or video screens, or any combination thereof.
In our homeschool, we will use a variety of resources and study a variety of subjects. Besides the required courses of study listed above, we will also study science, health, physical education, history, critical thinking, music and art. That’s not to say that we will try to cram all of this into every class day; we will have a daily routine of the required subjects, including science and history, and then mix up the extras throughout each week to keep things lively.
We will use books and many of the usual sources one might find in a classroom, but because we are environmentally conscious, we will use as many online sources as possible to cut down on the use of paper. Apart from math work and a short daily handwriting exercise, we will use our blogs for recording lesson plans and assignments, and for keeping track of field trips and other school-related outings and events.
The following is a list of some online sources we will use in our homeschool. The list is sure to change and grow as we do.

I did put in some long nights. Now that I’ve got it pretty well put together, I can slow down, use what I have and add new stuff as I find it.
It’s going to be an adjustment, but I think it’ll be a good one.
Thanks for stopping by here and welcome home!
